Who is Chris Squitieri?
I'm going to post all the documentation I have and let you be the judge. Yes, I am his opponent's mother, but that's not why I am posting this. My son doesn't hide behind me as Mr. Squitieri suggested. I am a longtime, multi-award-winning investigative reporter, and my son has nothing to do with my research and work. I haven't shared most of what I'm posting here with him. If he visits, he'll be seeing it for the first time. That's the truth.
Mr. Squitieri apparently doesn't believe in the First Amendment because he deletes or hides comments that question his background or honesty. He refuses to answer the questions looming about his background.
I have a lot of documents, so I'll start with his March 13 post on his official campaign page.
He states that "after pursuing higher education and career opportunities," he knew it was time to "come back to Oswego, a place that's always felt like home."
I've done a diligent search and can find no record of him ever living in the City of Oswego. He did grow up in Fulton and spent his early years there. He attended Countryside High School in Clearwater, Florida. He is listed in their 1983 and 1984 yearbooks and graduated in 1985, as noted on his resume provided by Pasco County, Florida.
Mr. Squitieri was employed by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department, P.O. Drawer 2500
Largo, FL 33779-2500 from December 1987 to January 1990, and then by the Clearwater Police Department from June 1990 until his retirement in November 2016.
Mr. Squitieri was hired by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department in 2017 as a civilian coordinator for new member training. "On or around May 1, 2019, Defendants Nocco and Harrington fired Squitieri. (Id. at 10.)" (source: U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division, dismissal of Squitieri lawsuit).
There are personal documents that show proof he lived in Florida beyond 2019, and even though they're public information, I won't post them.
Here's the question he won't answer. He claims to have lived here for nearly a decade, but he didn't register to vote in New York State until August 3, 2022 (less than three years ago). My question is, if he's spent nearly a decade in the 7th Ward, why wait until August 2022 to register to vote in New York State? And, according to his own voter registration application, which requires a sworn statement, he voted in Florida in 2021. He swore to 26 Pond Path as his primary address.
Fifteen days later, on August 18, 2022, Mr. Squitieri took out a HELCO loan at 26 Pond Path, with a Florida address.
It's obvious Squitieri isn't from here or he'd no not to challege the master of investigative reporting.
